How Aircontacts formats guest contact names

Understanding how Aircontacts displays guest information on your phone so you can identify callers instantly.

When a guest calls, you want to see everything you need to know in an instant: their name, which property they’re staying at, and when they arrived. That’s why Aircontacts uses a simple contact format that makes caller ID actually useful.

The format

Aircontacts stores guest information across two fields in your phone’s contact:

  • Prefix field (vCard): [Property Short Name] [Check-in Date]
  • Name field: [Guest Name]

When a guest calls, your phone displays the prefix first, followed by the guest name.

What you see on caller ID

Each contact synced to your phone displays as:

[Property Short Name] [Check-in Date] [Guest Name]

Example

If a guest named Adam Smith is checking in on January 2, 2026 at your property “123 Main St”, you’ll see this in your phone’s caller ID:

123 Main St 1-2-26 Adam Smith

Instead of just a phone number, you instantly know:

  • ✓ Which property they’re staying at
  • ✓ When their stay begins
  • ✓ Their name

Customize the property short name

The “Short Name” of a property is editable in the portal. We recommend keeping it short and distinctive so it’s easy to recognize at a glance:

Short names are especially useful if you manage multiple properties — you can quickly tell which listing a guest is calling from without opening the app.
